Michael Mitchell is renowned as the Troubadour of Canada’s Heritage. This award-winning singer, songwriter and storyteller is on a never-ending mission to stir up some patriotic spirit in the hearts and minds of all Canadians through lively songs and humorous stories of our history, geography and some of the quirks that identify us as Canadians. A one-hour performance consists of 9-10 songs (with corresponding stories) selected by YOU from the 25 songs available in the extensive, complimentary Teaching Kit.

Students, staff and parents can't help but join in with such popular favorites as This Land Is Your Land, Donkey Riding (Michael's re-written, purely-Canadian version) and the Log Driver's Waltz. But Michael's own compositions such as Canada In My Pocket have also become favorites in classrooms throughout the country. Note that a few French songs can always be included in any show upon request.
