Grupo America is a multi-talented dance troupe, specializing in modern and folkloric Latin American dances. The full group consists of 26 dancers, several directly from the national folkloric ballets of Mexico, Chile, Peru, and Columbia. Grupo America has made numerous television appearances and annually produces A Journey into Las Americas, to sold out audiences and tour schools across Western Canada.

The school presentation involves dances from six countries with an explanation on the origin and significance of each dance. With a very large repertoire and over 150 costumes to choose from, the program is constantly changing. Dances include samba, salsa, Polynesian, swing, Afro-Latin, and flamenco to name but a few. Dance workshops are also available.
