When I'm not out riding my bike, there's nothing I enjoy more than indulging my other passion, which is attending live performances. Whether it's a play, a band, a variety act, a symphony concert, a comic, a dance performance, a storyteller, or a fusion of zheng, djembe, and bagpipes, I never tire of watching the dialogue between artist and audience. It's really just a conversation, isn't it? The artists ask a question, the audience responds, and back and forth the dialogue goes. The beauty of this dialogue is that it never results in answers, but merely helps us perfect our questions.

Welcome to KBAM! Kevin Bruce Arts Management. What you'll find here is a selection of artists whose work I am in love with. Every one of these artists has inspired me in some way - has made me laugh, made me cry, aroused my intellectual curiosity, or filled me with the overwhelming humility of my own humanity. I have no qualms whatsoever about recommending these artists to you, and will stake my reputation on your being satisfied with presenting them.

What binds together all of the artists on the KBAM! roster is that each of them is not only willing to perform for young audiences, but relishes the prospect. Many of these artists have very successful careers performing for adults in clubs, at community concerts, and festivals, but still they are eager to rise at seven AM and be in front an audience of school children by nine. This says something very significant about these artists. Sure, there may be more money in a corporate gig, a TV commercial, or selling CDs that are "charting", but the willingness to play to an audience of school children says that these artists care deeply about touching the hearts and minds of the very young, about developing audiences of the future, about opening a world of possibilities, and about engaging the young in that dialogue that goes beyond the rational and reaches into the soul.
